Last week, weekend, this week

Bryanna and Jonathan had major projects due last week. They had to build a bird/bug along with a habitat. Then they had a bird fair and a bug fair at the school.

We had a good weekend, it went by fast though but then ended up turning to a long weekend for me!

Friday, which is normal for us, we didn’t do much. We ate whatever we could find in the house and I baked brownies for the Jamboree on Saturday. It poured down so I was happy to be at home.

Saturday was the Jamboree at the kid’s school. It’s the much anticipated carnival, confetti eggs, silly string, games, food and lots of fun. We got so lucky with the weather, I think it sprinkled once but the rest of the time the sun was shining, I have the sun burn to prove it!

Monday I called in sick to work. It was the second grade zoo trip and Bryanna so desperately wanted me to be there. Carlos and I both ended up going with her. It was fun! I do have to say there have been lots of changes to the zoo since I had been last. There is an entire new train station which was pretty nice.

Then Tuesday I got up like normal to get dressed, I knew it had rain all night long but I guess I didn’t know how much rain we had actually received. We got a call saying school was cancelled due to flooding so I sunk back into bed and fell fast asleep! So needless to say, I had a 4 day weekend!

My Biggest Loser 6 week work out is going good. I am on the 3rd level now so that means it’s a 40 minute workout. I love the last 10 minutes, it's the best work out ever. It is a butt burner for sure...love to feel my ass burning! (Is that appropriate?) Next Thursday I will officially be done and I can weigh and measure myself which I am looking forward to doing. I have purchased my next 6 week video which I will start next Friday after I complete the Cardio Max 6 weeks. Here is my next 6 weeks:

I hope it's really good - I am excited to start it! So far I loved Jillians 30 Day Shred and I have really enjoyed the Cardio Max that has Jillian and Bob. Not sure who is in this one but we shall see!

Party for ME!

I love the 80’s, songs, clothes everything about it. I was born in 79 but grew up in the 80’s and 90’s. My 30th birthday is just around the corner and I want a party. I haven’t had a party since I was probably in 5th grade, I am sure my mom stopped them once I was in junior high, I will have to ask. Anyhow a party is what has been on my mind lately. I have this whole FUN party planned out…I can’t give too much detail but I think it could come together quite nicely and just be a fun evening to remember for a long time. Last night I was telling Carlos about it and he said, “Well you need to tell me what you want because I was trying to put something together for you too.” I asked him what it was and he hesitated at first and then told me he wanted to get a limo to pick us all up and take us to Benihana’s to eat, then drop the kids and my parents back off and then for a bunch of us to go downtown club hopping. I love food and I LOVE dancing even more and I have wanted to go out dancing for a long while now BUT I am really leaning towards my fun party that I have planned so nicely in my mind; seriously even the invites will be fantastic! So I have a dilemma, not that my sweet husband cares what I decide but I don’t want to hurt his feelings, hell he planning something for ME! Decisions decisions!

I can’t believe I will be 30 soon, it’s the new 20’s right?!

Birthday Boy

This picture was taken a few years back when we went to Vegas and saw the Blue Man Group live.

Today is my best friend’s birthday but not only is he my best friend; he is the love of my life! We have spent many birthdays together, probably almost 15 so this one is no different. He claims it’s just another day but it’s his day and I have been calling him the “birthday boy” since he got home from work at 1am this morning. Last year on his 32nd birthday I made him a list of 32 things I loved about him so this year I am adding one more:

1. The way you play word searches with the kids every time we go out to eat
2. The way you smell when you put on Victoria Secrets for men aftershave and/or cologne
3. The way you look whether you have a fresh haircut or haven’t had one in months
4. The way you get joy out of picking the kids up from school
5. The way you grill food especially your steaks!
6. The way you make me laugh all the time
7. The way you make the bed when I am not around to do it
8. The way the kids get excited to see you when you get home
9. How your phone still says "Sexy Wife" after 15 years of being together
10. When you get up on random weekends and get us breakfast tacos without asking
11. The way that you always want your children to have the best even if we can’t afford it
12. When you buy me the things I ask for without me knowing and try to keep it a surprise but give it to me early anyway
13. The way your son wants to be just like you
14. When you sing and dance along to any music while we are in the car
15. The way you look in your 4X4
16. When you send me flowers every so often, but often enough to put a smile on my face
17. The way you look when you come home dirty from work
18. When you are willing to take me all the places I need to go even if they are all over town
19. When I plan a trip you get annoyed but come and enjoy yourself anyway
20. The way you find money if we need it, whatever the circumstance is
21. The way you fix things around the house without asking
22. The way you do yard work and include the kids
23. The way you take pride in the tree you planted
24. How sensitive you are when it comes to your grandparents
25. The way you want other kids that aren’t ours to be happy too
26. How you look when you are winning your softball games
27. How you light up when Jonathan hits a far ball or catches a pop fly
28. The way you have your own hobbies
29. How excited you get when you buy a new "toy" for yourself
30. The way you sometimes just want to cuddle in bed
31. When you call me first when you have really good news
32. The way you squeeze my hand so tight that it hurts
33. How much pride and joy you have had head coaching Jonathans team this year

Happy Birthday Babe – I love you!

Random Photos

It was a weekend full of lots of rain and flooding in our area. We didn’t do a whole lot, movies, cleaned, laundry. At least Sunday was beautiful! I do have some pictures finally!

Mini Fudge Stripes

Since I am working out and somewhat trying to watch what I eat, I love 100 calorie snacks. I have found my favorite 100 calorie snack so far. Has anyone had these?

OMG they are TO.DIE.FOR. good! Obviously I am a huge fan since I work out to Jillian and Bob! I can seriously eat like 5 bags of them although I don’t but man they make you want more. I don’t know if it’s the chocolate or the cookie. Before I started working out I would eat chocolate every day so at least at this point I get some type of chocolate in my mouth daily! Oh and they are not baked cookies, it’s the real deal! Next time you are out at the store pick up some of these, you will not regret it!

Does anyone watch The Biggest Loser? Holy cow, the contestants have been there I think 14 weeks now and some have lost well over 100 pounds, COMPLETELY amazing to me! They look really good and I am really jealous! I am on week 7 of working out daily. I have done well; I have only missed probably 3 days in those 7 weeks. I feel good, I love certain pairs of pants because they are baggy in the rear – it’s a great feeling! I can’t wait to weigh myself and measure again but I have 4 more weeks until I can do that.

Easter Weekend

Easter weekend was GOOD! I love long weekends! Friday was great; we got up and cleaned the house a bit, did my work out and then went outside and cleaned both of our cars – much needed cleaning! Friday night we celebrated Easter with Oliver and Lennon. The neighborhood had an Easter egg hunt for the kids so they came with us.

Saturday Jonathan was supposed to have a baseball game but we had to cancel it because we didn’t have enough players which worked out fine because I had lots to do. There was surprise party for Carlos grandmother Saturday afternoon so we got ready for that and yet another Easter egg hunt as well!

Sunday we got up early and headed for Seguin to see more of Carlos’ family and guess what else…another Easter egg hunt!

Needless to say we had a good weekend! We have 3 baseball games this week so we will be busy. One of these days I will have pictures of Jonathan playing ball but until then here are pictures from Friday’s Easter egg hunt.

Bryanna showing off her eggs

Mr. Determined to find the most eggs...such a "ball" hog!

Leni looking for her eggs...so cute!

Yea Oliver found one!

They had a pinata too! Olivers turn to swing at it.

Jonathan wanted to break it so badly but didnt.

Kaela didnt participate in any of the events, she secretly or not so secretly gave Leni some lolly pop and that girl LOVED it, she was highly pissed when we took it away!

Last Thursday marked my second 2 weeks of The Biggest Loser Cardio Max, level 2 is and extra 10 minutes of sweat and pain! My girl Jillian is back though for the last 10 mins! I love working out to her, who wouldnt want a body like she has and she makes you want to do the work out!

Weekends go too fast

Our weekend was crazy again. Not as jammed packed as last weekend but we weren’t home very much! We got lots of sun though which was really nice, we all had rosy cheeks last night and this morning. Bryanna wanted to know how long it would stay like that!

Saturday Jonathan had his 4th baseball game. Have I even mentioned he is playing ball and Carlos is the head coach…probably not because they have yet to win a game! The teams we are playing, the kids just seem so much bigger and better than us. We have 4 kids on the team that have played together in the past but the rest of the team are new to the game. It’s been rough but hopefully we can get a win sometime in the near future! A lot of the kids have really improved already which means Carlos is doing his job! After the game everyone was exhausted but we had a birthday party at the YMCA so they kids were excited they were going to get to swim in a heated pool! We finally got home at 9 and everyone was forced to go straight to bed because I was exhausted!

Sunday we were up early again. Jonathan had baseball practice, only 3 other kids showed…maybe that is the problem, kids are not coming to practice, hmmm?! Right after practice Carlos had 2 games so we went straight to his ball park and were out there for 3 hours THEN Jonathan had team and individual picture so we rushed to those! Needless to say we walking in the house at 6 and ate corn dogs for dinner!

This week is a 4 day week for me and the kids so we are excited! Kaela actually stayed home today, each of the kids get a free “sick” day from school, she chose today to work on her project that is due on Thursday!

Here are a few pics from the Quinceanera we went to last weekend that I never posted:

Loving cousins, Kaela and Myranda

Bottom Left: Aleigha and Brenda (sister n laws) and Me

Aleigha and I are usually the only white people at functions like this! Kaela has now informed us that she would like a quinceanera when she turns 15. I told her we would have to think about it! She is already planning her dress and shoes, SLOW. DOWN. GIRL.

Thursday marks 2 weeks of working out with Bob. I start level 2 on Friday. My pants are so baggy today…it’s great! I can’t wait until I can weigh and measure myself again – I am so motivated right now which makes things SO much easier. Subway has been my best friend lately!
