Out with the old...

I have longed for a Nikon camera. It has been probably the biggest want I had for a very long time, and very expensive want I might add! I could never bring myself to spend the money when I had it. Someone always needed something more then I needed a camera and honestly a camera is definitely not a priority especially since I had one. My kids are getting older, they hate taking pictures but I still forever wanted a Nikon! I have a dream of becoming an awesome photographer with my brother-n-law who already has the talent although anyone can be a good photographer with Photoshop right? This weekend Carlos finally said, “Let’s just go get it, you have wanted it and we just need to do it”. So we did and I now have an awesome Nikon D5000! I have no clue how to use it yet…lessons are in my near future! I cannot wait until I get to really use it. Football season, volleyball season, our Garner trip…it’s gonna be fun!

...in with the new!

Back to school

Today was the first day of school. Seriously the summer went by way to fast. I remember the last day of school so clearly. The girls were very excited about their return. They are my social butterflies, Jonathan not so much. He is a home body and honestly my mom would totally home school him if I let her!

I didn’t do any preschool early wake up calls or early bed times prior to last night. I figured they would just get back in the swing of it after a week or so. Last night their TV’s were off at 9, that was a huge shocker for them! They woke up pretty easily this morning but I don’t expect that to last. They are usually good the first couple of days and then quickly slip back into zombies in the morning. Everyone looked cute and refreshed this morning as they walked out the door.

Jonathan reading his note from the teacher!

I can’t wait to hear how their first day went!

What will I be when I grow up...

The boy that never stops...

Basketball player

Professional baseball player

Olympic swimmer

Football player

or maybe a hunter, boy his daddy would LOVE that!

...still missing a pictures of him on the golf course. He stays busy year round, it makes me tired! What will he be when he grows up? He has lots to choose from!

Good feeling Friday

I just signed Jonathan up for tackle football (not a good feeling) but he is over the top excited (great feeling). I guess I will have to buy him the super duper extra padded helmet and pads so he does not get a scratch on him!

School count down...

I haven’t had much to say lately, we have just been here. Summer is wrapping up way to fast. Two weeks left and then it’s back to the ol’ school routine. Kaela and Bryanna are definitely ready to go back. Both Jonathan and Bry have received their teacher cards and are really excited about who they got.

We had a garage sale on Saturday in efforts to make money so the kids could go school shopping with the money earned. We did really well. We made $380 which was perfect; each kid got $100 to spend on clothes. They all did really well with their money (and coupons thanks to me!) and got lots of stuff. We have a few more things to get but I feel much better about school starting.

Bryanna was invited to Schlitterbahn Galveston and to a friend’s beach house this past weekend. She had a great time and was exhausted when she got home on Sunday. Here are a few pictures:

Next week they have dentist appointments, clean teeth for school is a must! Then they have back to school night, we go and meet their teacher and buy supplies, school shirts, etc. Hopefully we can find a few more fun things to do before they head back to school.

I am still going strong with working out, eating less and having nothing but water. I started back on the BL Cardio Max. I love it! It’s such a good work out in just a little amount of time. I plan on doing that until we go to Garner, I will weigh again right before our trip, definitely not after because all we do is EAT! I am still really motivated to lose my last 15 pounds. The kids and I were going through old photos and I found one of me in a 2 piece bathing suit and it’s just gave me more motivation although I was probably 16 or 17 in the picture but still! My size 10 pants are also fitting a little lose which is an awesome feeling, I just need to be in an 8 lose and I would feel complete!

Top 3 weekend loves

Making enough money at our garage sale to get a huge chunk of school clothes shopping done.

Watching a movie in bed on a Sunday afternoon while the rain comes down.

Jonathan being sad that he can’t sleep in his daddies spot on Sunday night because he is back in town, oh my sweet boy!

Top 3 weekend loves

Love spending the afternoon at the Hunting Extravaganza on Saturday wishing we were rich and could afford it all – we did however sign up to win over 30 prizes, maybe we will get a call!

Love cleaning out closets. Planning for a garage sale, out with the old, in with the new school clothes soon. I even separated all of Jonathan and Bry’s hanging clothes, there is now a boys side and a girls side!

Love waking up thinking its really early but the clock actually says 10am…sleeping in his heaven!
