Still here...
What can I say our life has been uneventful to say the least but I can’t complain. I would much rather live a boring life then one that is stressful and unbearable.
Kaela did a week long volleyball camp last week. She loved it. She is trying out for the volleyball team in 7th grade. She has never played the sport but she really does enjoy it so I hope the camp at least helped her in some sort of way. She has another one next week as well. It also gives her a chance to meet the coaches so at least they will be familiar with her and vice versa. She is so ready to go back to school, she is our social butterfly. She loves her friends!
Jonathan and Bryanna have just been hanging out. Lots of pool time. Both of their tans are to die for! Although Bryanna’s hair is a nappy mess from the chlorine from the pool; I must go find a shampoo this weekend. The big news for them is they got new bedroom furniture. It arrived today. They were so over the top excited and up at 5am just waiting…thank goodness the furniture men arrived early! Bryanna has a sleepover this weekend and then has been invited to spend the weekend in Galveston with a friend’s family. She is working hard on her attitude so she can go to both! Jonathan wants to know why he doesn’t ever get to spend the night at friends houses…poor guy just doesn’t get invited yet but he will soon enough!
Since we have redone 2 rooms in our house we have lots of garage sale stuff. It’s funny how excited kids get when I say we are having a garage sale. We are planning on having one in the next couple of weekends, I think I will let the kid’s sell lemonade or sodas; they love to “run” things! All the money made from the garage sale will be split in 3’s for school clothes. School clothes are another major thing going on in our house. We are trying to get back into the school mode. We have yet to shop but we will be doing that in the next couple of weekends as well. I told Carlos just the other night that I thought Kaela wouldn’t be shopping at Target this year for clothes, she is more into Hollister and Aeropostal which means more money for her for school clothes, he agreed! I think I can still get Bry and Jonathan to shop at Target!
As far as my weight loss is going, it’s still going! I have kicked butt the last 3 weeks. I am officially weighing and measuring on Friday again. I am hoping for 5 lbs but 3 would make me very happy too! I only have a few more weeks where I will be able to walk in the mornings with our “crew” before school starts. Once school begins my mornings will no longer be free.

Top 3 Weekend Loves
Love laying in bed next to my sleeping husband while watching two really good movies back to back on a Saturday night.
Love lounging at the pool getting some sun while my kids entertain themselves in the pool.
Love randomly buying things for our Jagi in hopes that she knows how much we really appreciate her.

Good Feeling Friday
It’s a good feeling when you are trying really hard to hold out on buying new clothes since you are in a different size. Then decide you just can’t deal with the saggy crotch and saggy rear anymore and go get 6 new pairs of pants in the smaller size, sure does make you feel good!

Mommy may I?

Kaela had a great story to tell me yesterday when I got home.
They went to HEB grocery shopping with Jagi. Jagi was doing her normal up and down the aisles shopping and the kids were scouting out the samples. Bryanna found a rice sample that she wanted to try so she went up to the lady and asked for one. The lady asked where her mother was (they normally do, I guess just to make sure it is ok). Bryanna then points over to Kaela and says that’s my mom! The lady yells over to Kaela and says, “Hey mom is it ok if she has one?” Kaela who was at the cart looks up with a purse on her shoulder and says, “Oh sure she can have one!” and kinda signals with her hands (Seriously does she look old enough to have a kid; um she would have been 4 at birth?) Then Jonathan runs up and wants one too, so she too asks who his mom is and he points to Kaela as well! The lady asks again and Kaela agrees. I think they all had one good laugh!
So then last night we took the kids to the pool for an hour before it closed. It was adult swim when we got there, I didn’t realize it but I told Kaela not to waste her time and to go get in. She reminded me it was adult swim but then says, “Oh wait I am a mother of two, I am an adult!” and goes to jump in.
Pretty silly story but had to share!

Red red WALLS you make me feel so fine...
It was a good relaxing weekend. We had no plans and we went with it! Carlos painted our room all day on Saturday and man does it look good! We went with red and I LOVE it. I have a few more things I would like to do with the room to get it looking nice. The rest of the weekend we lounged and it was much needed!
I have done really badly the past 2 weeks with working out and eating right. Today I begin again. We have 8 weeks until our Garner trip and I would really like to be at least another 8 pounds less than I am right now. 8 pounds in 8 weeks is defiantly due able. I have lost 15 pounds so far and by no means am I ready to give up; I am not where I want to be. I got 2 of the P90X videos so I am going to try those out this week and see where that goes. I heard they are very hard…hard is what I may need though!
Sunday my sister had a birthday party for my niece and nephew and the kids had a great time. Here are a few pictures from the party that my dad took.

Birthday Bliss
I had a great birthday. Turning 30 wasn’t so bad after all! We had no plans. Coming home from a 5 days mini-vacation just 2 days prior made the decision to just relax and stay at home easy.
When I got home, the kids had gotten me some fun flowers! Carlos too sent me flowers at work but I left them there to enjoy them all week long.

My mom and the kids made home-made pizza and it was really good!

Jonathan was in charge of the cake so he made my favorite dirt cake and Carlos went out and bought 30 candles for it!

My parents and sister got me cash which I cannot complain about whatsoever! Last week while were out of town we went to the outlet mall and Carlos told me to get a purse so I obliged!

And I got these Puma's as well…so so cute, can’t wait until they actually come in!

I am in the process of redoing my room as well. Color has been picked out, new dresser and bed has also been picked out just need to get it all in order and done!

Happy 30th Birthday to ME!
We are on VACATION…WHAT!
Ok so the title explains it all and it was the joke of the week too! We have been on vacation since Tuesday night. God I love to get AWAY! Away from stress, work, television, cell phones, traffic, just life in general! We spent 5 days in New Braunfels and Canyon Lake, floating the Guadalupe and drifting on Canyon Lake. It was sweet, hot and super fun. We were not ready for it all to end. Here are photos of our week, I will have more but will give you what was on my camera:
We went to Gruene (small little town)

Ate at the Gristmill for Julio and my birthday!

Yes, normal people dont eat steak with their hands!

We decided to tell the waitress that Juve and Arturo were getting married...they were practicing their first toast!
Then went to Canyon Lake

Me and Jenn - the Canyon Lake babes!

I wish I had pictures of us on the Guadalupe but I didnt want to lose my camera or take the chance!
