work out and ice cream - they go so well together!

Today is day 5 of 30 Day Shed, I have done well. I am finally not sore all day long which is nice. I can walk down the stairs in no pain. It’s getting a little easier and I am sure just when it gets easy it will be time for level 2, which from the previews it looks hard! I didn’t even weigh myself before I started on Monday. I know pretty much what the scale said anyhow: FATASS! I won’t weigh myself until the 30 days are up. I like to see big results, if I don’t see big results I will be out looking for Jillian to kick her ass, I should have some more muscle by then since we have to use weights!

Yesterday I took the day off to go on Bryanna’s field trip to Blue Bell Creameries. It’s in Brenham, Texas. It was so much fun. I hadn’t been there since I was a little girl. The tour was actually pretty interesting and they were in the process of making 3 different kinds of ice cream as well as ice cream sandwiches which is one of my favorites. The kids seemed to enjoy it too and we got FREE ice cream at the end.

It’s Friday and I am SO glad…have a good weekend!

Drop and give me 20!

Ho – ly SHIT!

I know this is a family run website but seriously sometimes it has to be about me! So I am officially back to being a fat ass. I went shopping over the weekend for MYSELF and couldn’t fit into any of the bottoms I wanted and I sure as hell was not going a size up…hell-to-the-NO! So I bought like 8 tops instead.

Back to my holy shit…a couple weeks ago I purchased this wonderful video

If anyone watches the Biggest Loser you know her, if you don’t watch the Biggest Loser well she is one of the trainers on the show and she is the Biggest Bitch but she is very effective or at least she seems to be pretty darn effective to those who are on the show. Anyhow now that I am totally and completely disgusted with the way I look and feel it is that time again, my friends, to try to lose some poundage. I was supposed to be working out since my last birthday anyhow. I turn 30 in July and who wants to look fat and ugly on their 30th birthday?! Not I.

Back to the video. It was the hardest 20 minutes that I have had recently. The first thing she wanted out of me was pushups! HELLO I haven’t done a push up since, hell maybe junior high. I can’t lift my own freaking weight! I hung in there and I have to hang in there for at least 30 days so I can shed my 20 pounds…we will see. I officially stopped the cokes and chocolate again yesterday. Trying to eat fruit for my snacks, you know the drill!

Wish me luck, again!

Benda What, Benda Who, Bendaroos!

Well the infamous Bendaroo’s came in the mail yesterday. We didn’t let the kids open them until last night after basketball practice and dinner. As soon as dinner was down, Carlos handed Bry and Jonathan the box. They were super excited! It was like Christmas morning all over until about 10 minutes into playing with the Bendaroo’s…

Jonathan: (leans back in his chair) Bry I think we should put them all back in the box and return them.

Bryanna: Yeah they aren’t as much fun as I thought they would be (pouty look on her face)

Mom: You have already played with them though; I don’t think we can return them.

Jonathan: I am putting them back correctly mom and then we can tape the box and you can just send it back, I want my dollars back.

Mom: I will call the company tomorrow and let them know how unsatisfied my 7 and 8 year olds were with their infomercial purchase!

Grandpa: That is why you never buy stuff off the tv!

Mom: Maybe we can sell them to Jaime for ½ prices, Oliver wanted them too!

Jonathan/Bryanna: Whatever!

Needless to say, then Bendaroos went back in the box in hopes to be sent back so they can have the “dollars” back. Jaime did say she would buy them ½ price from the kids if we can’t send them back!

When I say unsatisfied, boy do I mean it. Bryanna was practically in tears she hated them so much! I wish she would have let me take a picture but it was to die for hilarious!

Just here

We have been so unbelievably busy! Jonathan and Bryanna are playing basketball. Their team hasn’t won one game yet. Jonathan is a little bummed about this BUT Bryanna could care less. She loves it and is pretty good too. All the teams they are playing are 2nd graders and huge. We have a bunch of midgets on our team and some 1st graders! I try to explain to Jonathan that it doesn’t matter whether you win or lose as long as you are having fun…which he is. He loves it.

Carlos decided to take on being the head coach to Jonathan’s baseball team which starts in March. He is very nervous but really excited. He talked his brother in to assistant coaching with him. I know they will do a great job! Kaela will be keeping up with the baseball book and will get paid for it, she is excited about that. I will probably step up and be team mom just because although I am holding out hope that another mother will want to do it. It will be an interesting 4 months. I really hope Carlos loves it and wants to do it again. Being involved is important and Jonathan is excited that his dad is the Coach!

The company I work for moved locations. We are no longer in downtown Houston. We moved in a little bit and it’s about 10 mins closer to home which is nice, the commute got a little shorter. This week has been a mess and just really busy trying to get stuff unpacked and put away here; I even had to come in over the weekend which is probably a first for me in 9 years of working here.

No good stories to tell but no news is always good news in my book! I don’t even know if I have recent pictures to post. I will have to go back and look! I have been really bad about taking pictures lately just because I hate my camera and want a new one. Hopefully that is one thing I will get this year.

Have a great week and I will try to get some pictures up.

Oh Jonathan...

Guess who lost his 2 front teeth this weekend? He doesn't wiggle his teeth much, so when they are ready to come out its usually because there are teeth coming in behind them!

Another random but funny conversation. Let me set the scene. We were driving home from dinner Saturday night and we past a gentlemen’s club called Gold Cup. Lots of lights and a huge sign etc. It’s right off the freeway so anyone can see it. It’s been there for years and the kids have never asked to go there to eat or anything.

Jonathan: Hey Dad what is that place anyway?

Mom: it’s a club with naughty girls in there.

Dad: It’s a restaurant.

Jonathan: What is a naw-tee girl?

Mom: It’s a girl who dances for a guy for money.

Jonathan: Why is she naw-tee?

Mom: Because usually she doesn’t have a shirt on.

Jonathan: Can I go?! (He was seriously asking too)

(At this point Carlos and I are laughing hysterically)

Dad: I will take you when you are 18.

Jonathan: How about 7?

Mom: HECK NO! Never! Let’s change the subject! Enough about the naughty girls!

Just a thought...

Am I the only one who doesn't give a flip what Michelle Obama wears?

Also this is my 100th post...wahoo!

Happy Birthday Baby...

You are my baby. I remember when we went to see your first ultrasound, your dad just knew that he was having another girl BUT I knew, call it instinct or intuition but I knew you were going to be a boy! The smile on your dads face…

You are a very busy 7 year old. You love sports, anything with a ball you excel in. You have tons of energy but at the end of the day you love to crawl into our bed and snuggle. You love to make your bed but hate to clean your room. You still ask me to hold. You love piggy back rides down the stairs. If you have to walk down the stairs yourself you usually slide half way down the railing. You are very honest; I can always trust you will tell the truth. You whine a lot! You are normally the first to fall asleep and the first to rise. You still like me to put your clothes out on the bed in the mornings. You think new tennis shoes make you run faster. You never wiggle your teeth which is why you have only lost 2. You are very good at saving your money; it’s very hard for you to spend it all at once. You are very sweet, don’t usually talk back, you are the nice one of the bunch. You let your sisters tell you what to do for now, one day I am sure you will be telling them what to do. You love to watch sports, wrestling, football, baseball, swimming, it doesn’t matter you are hooked. You strive to make E’s on all of your spelling tests. You love my back scratches, you ask for them often.

You are like no other which makes me smile every day. Your big heart makes my heart melt. I love you today, tomorrow and for eternity.

Happy 7th Birthday my baby, I love you.
