This week

Although I am not a huge fan of the Olympics I will however watch the gymnastics part of it. I always remember as a little girl how much I wanted to be there and wanted to do all those flips. I did take gymnastics as a kid but was NEVER close to doing anything cool, the bridge was the coolest thing I could do! Oddly enough I remember when Mary Lou Retton was in the Olympics, its crazy those who stick out in your mind from so many years ago. Jonathan is very excited to watch the swimming part. After swim team ended the preliminaries started for the Olympics and he thought it was really cool how fast and good they were, maybe one day he can be there too?! Poor child we have such high athletic expectations for him.

This week we had a storm come through. Of course all the news media had Houston thinking it would be another Rita or Katrina but hardly. It never turned in to a hurricane it was merely a bad rain storm. I unlike many other in Houston had to come into work; I braved the storm thanks to my boss! Anyhow someone sent me the first pictures of the damage so I wanted to share it with you…

Yes people in Galveston actually evacuated due to Tropical Storm Edouard - like I mentioned, it was just a rain storm. Someone lost their beer though.

You have got to be kidding me...

Friday after work I had errands to run. Bryanna had a party Saturday morning so we needed to run to Michael's to get a gift, I wanted to use my coupon at JcPenny's, feed the kids dinner at the mall and go by Victoria's Secret to get my 2 free panties I had coupons for.

We headed out...

Michaels - CHECK
JcPennys - CHECK
Dinner - CHECK
Victoria's Secret - yeah right...

As soon as we finished Chick-fil-a Jonathan explained that he was not feeling well. He looked at me and sort of faked gaged. I was said seriously do you need to throw up? I think so mama he said with sad eyes. Of course my first thought is SHIT! Then I said as soon as the girls get back from throwing the trash away we will go straight to the bathroom, just hold on to this bag just in case. As soon as the girls came back Jonathan hurled right into the bag. Second thought was SHIT SHIT! Ok Jonathan hurry lets go to the bathroom just keep the bag over your mouth. We get half way to the restroom and he stops and throw ups again, the bag still over his mouth but this time the bag breaks, the throw up is all over him, the floor and OUR feet! Third thought SHIT SHIT SHIT and damn sorry janitors! We finish our run to the restroom and of course he is done throwing up by then. Obviously we left after that, I glanced over and saw his mess was being cleaned up so we darted quietly the other way to the car.

I went back the next morning to get my free panties!

Pictures

Bryanna went to Schlitterbaun water park with her friend. She snuck my camera along for the ride. I didnt find out she took it until I was looking through the pictures...sneaky sneaky!

We celebrated Oliver's birthday at Lupe's Tortillas.

Bryanna and Lennon, she takes such good care of her.

Kaela's turn

I asked Jonathan to take let me take a picture of him at his last game...this is what I got.

The Razorbacks. Summer ball has ended. They really improved this short season. Jonathan got to play infield so much.

Birthday boy...

Oliver turns 3 today! He is a rambunctious little boy who we all love to death! We celebrated his birthday on Sunday at Lupe Tortilla’s. I have never heard someone scream as loud as he did when his cake and candles were carried into the room – it was too cute! The guys at Lupe’s sang to him and he even got to wear the sombrero, he loved it!

Happy Birthday Oliver – WE love you!

This week

It’s been a busy week, I was drained by Thursday and I know the kids and Carlos have been too. I am glad it’s Friday for sure although we have no plans this weekend except to celebrate Oliver turning 3! I am actually excited to see them on Sunday; I haven’t seen them since my birthday which seems so long ago.

I thought we were done with sports for awhile once baseball ends Tuesday but not quit. Bryanna has informed me she wants to play soccer. Of course I would not tell her no, I want my kids to be as active as they can be but I was hoping gymnastics in the A/C! We have never done soccer so it will be new and I am sure it will be fun to watch. She has great legs and loves to run.

The Firm is kicking my ass, it is a lot harder than I thought but I feel good after I complete it. It claims you see results after 10 days so I may weigh myself on the 10th day just to see if it’s those kinds of results. I need to measure myself just to see where I stand so I have something else to go on other then the darn scale.

I mentioned I would post pictures this week but I honestly have none to post. I haven’t taken any in while. Maybe I am subconsciously boycotting my camera because I want a Nikon D60! It’s a pretty expensive camera but I love to take pictures and would totally get my money’s worth! I even went to look for one at a pawn shop this weekend just hoping someone REALLY needed some money and would give that up. No luck though.

Yippie, Woo hoo, Eek!

SO as you can tell I am super excited, did you ask why? I got on the scale today, just because I was curious as hell at what I weighed 7 weeks later. I started at 174 and now weigh 167...7 pounds less which equals out to about a pound a week which is fabulous to me! Just wanted to share my excitement!

Kid x 5

We went from 3 to 5 children within a couple of days. My parents are out of town in Oregon visiting my brother, his wife and Maya so Carlos thought it would be a great idea to bring a few cousins to town to hang out with our kids. Carlos brought Teddy who is 10. He doesnt have a fatherly figure around often and clings to Carlos a lot when he is in Seguin visiting. Last time Carlos was visiting he asked to come down, his wish was granted. We also have Kyla who is Bryanna's age and LOVES the girls. Honestly if it were up to Carlos we would have brought 5 more down but we had to draw a line somewhere! Its been crazy but a fun week and we are glad to have company for the kids. We have spent lots of time at the pool hanging out...its cheap fun because when you have to feed 5 growing kids it can get expensive, we found that out fast!

Jonathan started his baseball camp at Rice University today. He loved it and got so lucky to have Clark in his group. He and Clark became really good friends during spring ball and he hasnt seen him since the season ended. He is looking forward to going back tomorrow although he said "Mom all we did was play baseball". HELLO sweetie, its BASEBALL CAMP did you think you would play basketball?!

It's week #8 on the working out/losing weight for me. Like I said earlier, Mom is out of town so I didnt walk. Walking by myself just creeped me out BUT I finally got THE FIRM in today so I started that instead. I havent done a work out video in a long time and I have no doubt that I will be sore tomorrow. It is a 5 day a week work out plan so I am hoping to see some more results in a couple of weeks.

I will post some pictures this week. Until then, have a great week!
