Our week was busy, baseball consumed 2 nights last week, 2 nights this week, 3 nights next week! Actually baseball has been dreadful – the team straight up sucks, well there are about 4 kids that are great players THANKFULLY one of them is Jonathan. Up until last night I hated going to watch them, it was very sad to go from an awesome team in the spring to a team that doesn’t even know how to hold a bat. Last night’s game was different though. The kids have learned a few things, they actually made plays together, and it looked like a real team for the first time in 2 weeks. I cheered and yelled like a normal parent should – it was fabulous and I left the game very proud of everyone.
The kids have wanted new bikes lately and if you know me I don’t just go out and buy my children things just because, they have to earn it or work towards it – that’s just how I roll. So last week I decided WE could all work together and have a garage sale, whatever we made would go towards bikes. Kaela getting the first bike because frankly she needed one the most, poor child was way too big for her bike and it just looked silly, then Bry and then Jonathan. We started Wednesday night getting stuff together for the garage sale; everyone had to find things to sell from their room etc. At first I didn’t think we would have enough to make $100 but man we just keep pulling stuff out of who knows where. Kaela and I got up at 5:30am Saturday morning to set up shop; we were ready for sale by 7am! Long story short, we ended up making $296 from the garage which was just enough to buy 3 brand new bikes from Academy. We went last night to purchase them and they were so proud and excited. (I will post pictures of them this week; my camera is dead at the moment)
This is our 7th week walking and doing the ab coaster. I am still waiting on my dvd set, The Firm to arrive. I am anxious to start it. It’s a 5 day a week routine so it will be interesting! Still haven’t weighed myself, I am honestly to the point where I don’t want to know right now what I weigh. I feel as though I have lost inches and that makes me happy and at peace for now. Maybe at the end of the summer I will jump on a scale but maybe not! Scales are not meant to be friendly – at least not towards me!
