Most of the pictures are of Jonathan and his friends. Bryanna was not interested in taking pictures with her friends, typical!
we are a crazy, tv watching, bike riding, park playing, sports loving, easy going, busy being, flip flop wearing, always eating, shopping, movie watching, hunting, camping, talking, reading, photograph taking, vacationing family.

Clippers
Our life has been consumed of baseball and softball and next week we take on one more sport, swimming! Swim team officially starts next week! Jonathan and Bryanna are the only ones doing it this summer. Kaela said she was burned out last year and decided not to do it. They are very excited though to start but I think they are just more excited to actually be in a pool again!
Jonathan is on the Clippers this year. He is loving it. He started off at short stop where he played last year and loved it. He wanted to try out first base and actually got his wish. They ended up moving him to first base after the second game and he has done so well and really enjoys it. He is trying hard to hit a homerun this year. He has hit two in-the-park home runs but nothing over the fence…yet?! (We are keeping our fingers crossed for him) He has only two games left of the season and at this point they are moving on to the play-offs, we just are not sure if they will be in the gold or silver level yet. Either way he is excited and so are we. His games are SO fun and I have really enjoyed this season tremendously.

Softball update is next.

Blowfish
Have you ever bought a pair of shoes you immediately fell in love with and you wanted to go out and buy another pair just like them to have so when the others get old and worn out you still have a new pair just like it? (boy was that the longest sentence ever?) I am going through this dilemma right now. I feel like I need to make the decision pronto or else they may get sold out. These are the sandals I am in LOVE with right now and thinking I need a second pair…you know just in case:

They are made by Blowfish which I had never heard of until now. They are the most comfortable shoe I have had so far except well my daily flip flop! I was worried about blisters but that has not been a problem. They were only $39 too which these days it seems super cheap for a major department store sandal. I mean Mr. Donald J. Pliner charges $200 for his sandals!
Dilemma’s dilemmas…should I or shouldn’t I?!

Life...
Our life has been hectic. Having two children playing ball this season has been nonstop. Luckily nothing has overlapped until today. Today is our first day that we have two games in one day; one at 6 and one at 8. We will get home about 930 which means we will be in bed way after 10pm which is past MY bedtime! I am SO glad at this point I said NO to Bryanna about wanting to play softball as well. It will all work out though because frankly I love baseball/softball season. The weather is great and the games are entertaining. Carlos is pitching on Jonathan’s team and is the first base coach on Kaela’s team so he is a little more active them I am. I am lucky, I get to sit on the bleachers and just yell, no pressure. I finally started taking pictures the last game so maybe one day I can upload them but until then you will just have to use your imagination. GO CLIPPERS and RENEGADES!

Meet Flat Stanley
If you have a second grader chances are you have met a Flat Stanley along the way. We were mailed a Flat Stanley by our cousin Kalia from Pflugerville, Texas. It was our job to show Mr. Stanley around Houston and to document it. Jonathan did the same project earlier this year but we sent his Flat Stanley all the way to Chicago to visit his Aunt Callie.
Here is what we did with Mr. Stanley from Pflugerville:
We were very excited when he arrived at our house. That night we took him to Pappasito’s for some good Mexican food. We made sure to buckle him up because safety is first! He seemed to really enjoy himself and like being around Kaela, Bryanna and Jonathan. He got to climb a tree while we were waiting for our table and he really liked the fajitas we ordered too! Carlos let him drank some of his margarita as well! He was pretty hungry and thirsty after his long trip in the mail.

The next day Jonathan had practice for baseball so we wanted Flat Stanley to see what baseball was all about so we took him out to the park with us. He even posed for a picture with Jonathan and a few of his team mates. He got to see how to throw and hit a ball. I think he wants to play baseball now too!

On Monday he got to visit Bryanna at school for lunch. She was excited to show him off to her friends. She got to tell her friends all about where he came from. Then after her lunch we got to go back to her room for DEAR time which means Drop Everything And Read. Flat Stanley enjoyed listening to Bryanna read; he seems to really like books.

Then we saved the best for last for Stanley. We took him to the Houston Live Stock Show and Rodeo with us! He was very excited and we were too! He took a picture with cowboy Carlos and Jonathan to get everyone in the mood. When we got there he couldn’t believe how big the carnival was. He got to ride the rides with the kids, he was just as nervous as they were! He had a great time and even enjoyed the concert at the end of the night.

We hope Flat Stanley had a great time in Houston!

Do you see what I see?
I walked into the kitchen to see Sadie (our German Shepherd) and Dixie (our cat) looking out at the backyard at a squirrel. It was hilarious; they were watching the squirrels every move just hoping that they could jump through the glass and get it. Sadie and Dixie are best friends, they do everything together; play, sleep and it looks like they would be great hunting buddies too!
